Welcome to experience fantastic gospel, soul, and hip-hop with some of Sweden’s foremost artists. The concert is organized by Hjärta Göteborg (Heart Gothenburg), a collaboration between all the churches in Gothenburg.

All the program events during Gothenburg’s Anniversary Festival are primarily standing, but for this particular program event, there is a limited number of seats available. Please note that these seats cannot be booked or reserved.
Solid Gospel
Solid Gospel is a Swedish choir that sings gospel and soul music. The choir was founded in 1997 and consists of around 50 members. Solid Gospel has won several awards and accolades for their music, including “Choir of the Year” at the Gospel Music Awards in 2014 and 2016. Solid Gospel has done several concert tours both in Sweden and abroad and has collaborated with artists such as Carola Häggkvist, Gladys del Pilar, and Salem Al Fakir.
Jennifer Brown
Singer and songwriter Jennifer Brown grew up in Hjällbo and broke through in the mid-90s with the song “Tuesday Afternoon.” The album “Giving You the Best” was released in 1994 and sold over half a million copies. Since then, she has released several successful albums with influences from both Swedish and American music traditions.
Samuel Ljungblahd
Samuel Ljungblahd is one of Sweden’s biggest gospel and soul artists and has released several albums in the genre. He has collaborated with artists such as Sarah Dawn Finer and Lisa Nilsson. Samuel has won several awards, including “Artist of the Year” at the Gospel Music Awards in 2012. He has also been in major musical productions, such as “Rock of Ages”.
Gladys del Pilar
Swedish musician Gladys del Pilar was born in Ecuador in 1967 and showed an early interest in music. She is known for her musical versatility and has played everything from salsa to jazz and Latin pop. In 2002, she won Melodifestivalen with the group Afro-dite and the song “Never Let It Go.” Gladys del Pilar has toured internationally, released several albums, and uses music to spread messages of social justice and equality.
Peter Hallström
Songwriter and musician Peter Hallström has collaborated with Peter LeMarc, Sarah Dawn Finer, Björn Skifs, Lisa Nilsson, Mauro Scocco, Carola and countless other artists. Peter is responsible for “I Remember,” the song that became Sarah Dawn Finer’s breakthrough in 2007.
Klara Zimmergren
Klara Zimmergren is a Swedish comedian, actress and radio and TV presenter, born in 1967. She is known as one half of the comedy duo Mia and Klara, who won the TV award Kristallen for best comedy program two years in a row. Klara has also appeared in several TV shows and theater productions.
Sebastian Stakset
Sebastian Stakset was a member of the hip-hop group Kartellen between 2008 and 2016, under the artist name Sebbe Staxx. Today, he is an artist, aid worker and founder of the organization Heart of Evangelism and passionate about helping people.
Britta Hermansson
Britta Hermansson is a Swedish author and pastor, born in 1962. She hosts the popular Swedish podcast “Brittas vardagsrum” and is also a columnist for Göteborgs-Posten.
Michael Jeff Johnson
Michael Jeff Johnson is a Swedish musician, singer, songwriter and author, based in Gothenburg. Michael wrote his first song at the age of ten and has since written hundreds of songs. In 2005, he released his solo debut “All We Could Become”. He has also collaborated with famous Swedish artists such as Carola, Uno Svenningsson, Ulf Christiansson and Roland Utbult. Michael’s music is often described as poetic, hopeful, and comforting.
