On September 26th, Göteborg & Co and photographic artist Karolina Henke invite you to a vernissage for the exhibition “Portrait of a 400th Anniversary.” In this exhibition, fully funded by the Hasselblad Foundation, Karolina has been commissioned by Göteborg & Co to interpret, capture, and immortalize Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary celebration. The images will be displayed for four days at The Gallery in Gothia Towers.

About the Exhibition
The exhibition can be viewed in the afternoon and evening, Thursday, September 28th to Sunday, October 1st. Free admission.
About Karolina Henke
Karolina Henke, born in Gothenburg and based in Stockholm, is a prominent photographer known for creating strong and personal portraits. Karolina’s work has been featured in several museums and locations across Sweden, incuding Fotografiska and Moderna Museet in Stockholm. She has also collaborated with various renowned partners such as IKEA, the Royal Opera and Unicef. Additionally, Karolina holds the title of Swedish Royal Court Supplier.
Om Malvakvartetten
MalvaKvartetten is a string quartet that enjoys pushing the boundaries when it comes to selecting repertoire and experimenting with sounds. Over the years, MK has collaborated with many musicians and artists.
Om Katarina Hemlin
Musician Katarina Hemlin has written the official anniversary song “Vi vill leva, vi vill dö i Göteborg”.
About the Hasselblad Foundation
The Hasselblad camera originated in Gothenburg and is the result of Victor Hasselblad’s love for nature. After Victor Hasselblad’s passing in 1978, the Erna and Victor Hasselblad Foundation was established according to their will. The Foundation’s purpose is to promote research and education in natural science and photography.
About The Gallery
The Gallery is an art exhibition space located in the lobby of the Gothia Towers hotel. The Gallery is a vibrant space where everyone passing by can pause for a moment, look, reflect and be touched.
