Side by Side is an international music camp for children and youth between the ages of 6 and 23 who sing or play an instrument. June 17–21, 2023, the camp has its 10th anniversary, which will be celebrated, among other things, during the grand Festival Concert in Scandinavium.
The camp days offer exciting workshops and challenging rehearsals as well as the opportunity to showcase your talents and maybe even perform side by side with members of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and the Gothenburg Symphony Vocal Ensemble.
Side by Side is divided into several tracks that you can choose based on the repertoire and your own personal circumstances. Use the track pyramid to help find the track that suits you best! This year’s camp has seven orchestral tracks, five choral tracks, two function tracks (OPEN) and two specialty tracks (EARLY & FOLK).
About Side by Side
Side by Side is organized by the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and is an important part of the Gothenburg 400 year celebration. During a few wonderful summer days each June, children and youth from around the world gather to sing and make music together, side by side with professional musicians. With music as a unifying force, the camp fights segregation and builds bridges between people, cultures, and continents.
