The real estate world has an abundance of certifications, from entry-level hygiene factors to gold level for the most ambitious houses with an environmental profile and indoor environment beyond the ordinary. One of the most interesting certification is the WELL Building Standard, which Castellum were first in the Nordics to use. It’s an international standard based on seven criteria with human well-being in focus; air, water, light, comfort, diet, exercise and wellness. Those who work in a WELL-certified office feel and perform better. This is completely in line with the company’s vision of the workplaces of the future.
Another of Castellum’s health initiatives is called WorkOUT®. This is exactly what it sounds like, namely a concept for outdoor offices supplied with everything needed for both creative meetings and individual focus work. WorkOUT® strengthens well-being, which is also confirmed by research from the company’s collaboration with Mälardalen University. A recent example is our newly built house Emigranten on the Masthuggskajen dockside in Gothenburg. It may very well be the city’s most popular office this summer.
Every year, Castellum conducts a survey on Swedish office workers’ views on the workplace, which is compiled in the report Working life of the future. This year’s report will be presented in early May, but it’s already clear that health-promoting activities are high on the office workers wish list. Access to gym, yoga and similar initiatives are things that make for an extra attractive workplace.
Castellum are also involved in several associations related to health and well-being in the working life, such as BRIS, Stadsmissionen and My Dream Now.
