Let’s Colour Gothenburg
Let’s Colour Gothenburg is an initiative that creates real jobs for unemployed youth while decorating the city with public artworks. In 2019 the art initiative extended to the Gothenburg region, and in Gothenburg exceptional international artworks was painted along a 23-kilometre art trail "23 km Konst" from Blå Stället cultural centre in Angered to Röda Sten Art Centre.

23 km Konst
23 km Konst is a 23 kilometer long art trail along a cycle path that runs from Blå Stället in Angered, through the city, to Röda Sten Konsthall by Klippan. Since the start in 2016, the art trail has been filled with murals, banners, colorful pennants and decorated electrical cabinets.
From the beginning, the winning entries from the international art competition “Gothenburg Art 21” were painted. But as time went on, more works of art could be added thanks to many different collaborations. The investment was made before Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary and was inaugurated during Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary on June 4, 2021. Let’s colour Gothenburg will also continue to create and inspire in the art scene.
The painting project is completely unique in its kind and makes Gothenburg a more colorful city!
Let’s Colour Gothenburg is a color and education project where several actors work together to give jobseeking young people a chance at a real profession as painters while we add color to the city. The project was initiated by Måleriföretagen, which is the painting industry’s employer organization.
