Especially classical music is covered in the book, but jazz also gets some coverage as well as some well-known folk and pop artists. Everything is described from an overall perspective and with an ethos of music sociology.

Tord Mannerbjörk (b. 1938) has a Master of Philosophy degree, and is an organist and cantor. He has worked as teaching assistant at the Institute of Musicology at Stockholm University, as producer of Rikskonserter in Stockholm and as a teacher at Vadstena Folk High School. He has also participated in many church concerts as an organ soloist and accompanist.
