Jubileumssatsningar / Götheborg of Sweden
24 April 2023

Götheborg of Sweden is a symbol of Gothenburg’s 400-year history as an important trading city. The ship is a replica of a merchant vessel with the same name that sank outside Gothenburg in 1745.

Rebuilt using traditional methods and materials, Götheborg is a vibrant ship with a fascinating story to tell. This year marks the 20th anniversary of her launch, and now scarred by harsh storms and thousands of seamiles, she is a remarkable sight.

Visitors are invited to guided tours, where they will learn about the ship’s historical adventures and today’s exciting sailings. Stepping on board Götheborg is like stepping straight into history, with the characteristic smell of tar lingering in the air. Welcome aboard!
