Power to the Youth
Power to the youth is a young reference group for Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary.
The focus years 2015-2022
The road to Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary has been just as important as the celebration. Every year since 2014, a focus has shed a light on what is already being done and make Gothenburg a better city.
Focus 2022: Health
The focus aimed to create support for a common theme.
Focus 2019: Knowledge and Enlightenment
The city was focusing especially on education, research and skills provision.
Focus 2018: Go Global
International collaborations and preparations for how the world will be invited to celebrate Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary was strengthened.
Focus 2017: Green and Grand City
A year with focus on the city’s wide range of parks and gardens, but at the same time focus on new green initiatives.
Focus 2016: Culture
More culture to the people! The focus this year was on the rich culture in Gothenburg.
Focus 2015: Created by and Including Young People
During the first focus year, the focus was on the young people’s initiatves and influence.
Focus 2014: Water and the archipelago
To get closer to different forms of water was the greatest wish among the citizens of Gothenburg to the 400th anniversary.
