Gothenburg Boy’s Choir sings traditional church music that dates back around 400 years, from the time that Gustav II wore shorts. They specialize in English Cathedral Music. Gothenburg Boy’s Choir will celebrate Gothenburg’s 400 years with their exciting repertoire which often includes music by Tallis,Teleman, Bach, Mozart and Schubert along with more recent composers such as Rutter, Christopher Tin and Alfven.
Gothenburg’s Boy’s Choir was founded in 1962 in Gothenburg’s Domkyrka. For many years, the choir has been an independent organization created for the purpose of training young boys vocally and serves as a place for them to develop musically as they mature into adulthood. The choir has traveled the world over representing Gothenburg through song and performances. The choir consists of young boys and young men, and is led by Inese Paulsone Johansson.
