A humorous start to Gothenburg’s Anniversary Festival
Gothenburg’s Anniversary Festival gets off to a humorous start when some of Sweden's and Gothenburg's most prominent comedians take the stage in Kajskjul 105 on June 2.
Gothenburg’s Anniversary Festival will begin with a tribute to humour with some of Sweden’s and Gothenburg’s most famous comedians who will be unleashed in Kajskjul 105 on June 2. In addition to a lot of laughs, the audience can look forward to a packed program that begins with Claes Eriksson and Per Fritzell from Galenskaparna and After Shave, followed by Dockhumor with Björn Carlberg and Petter Lennstrand. The evening ends with a standup parade together with Gothenburg citizens Ina Lundström, Peter Apelgren, Niklas Andersson, Ann Westin but also with Henrik Schyffert and Petrina Solange.
This also happens during Gothenburg’s Anniversary Festival, 2–5 June
The festival, which has free entry and is open to all ages, takes place on a 70,000 square meter area in the centrally located Frihamnen. Three stages, exciting food selection, activities and experiences on the surface equivalent to eleven football pitches where the largest tent stage has room for an audience as large as Scandinavium.
Artists released so far include Hooja, Sigrid, Sarah Klang, Jackie Mere and Jens Lekman & Burnstein Orchestra. Timo Räisänen, Maia Hirasawa, Stefan Andersson, Ebbot Lundberg, Yukimi Nagano from Little Dragon, Vic Vem and Katarina Hemlin are guests at the opening concert by the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. Way Out West programs one of the evenings, there will be a Gala and Party performance attended by the royal couple and the East India Company ship Götheborg returns after a year of sailing with a salute. There will also be world-class circus with Cirkus I love you. More things will be released in the future.
