Gothenburg University Library
The University Library wishes to draw attention to the 1923 anniversary exhibition in connection with Gothenburg's 400th anniversary. This takes place both physically and digitally with various forms of exhibitions.
The world’s largest restaurant, minarets, a lighthouse and a cable car that ran from Näckrosdammen to Liseberg. These are some of the features of the anniversary exhibition that took place in Gothenburg a hundred years ago.
A number of Gothenburg’s well-known buildings and institutions were built for the exhibition, such as Liseberg, Götaplatsen, Gothenburg’s art museum, Gothenburg’s botanical garden, the Museum of Natural History and Slottsskogvallen.
We want to spread knowledge about this event both through a digital resource on the internet and a exhibition at the Humanities library, which is located in the middle of the exhibition area at the time.
